IPSECPool access to LAN

Hey,

I had configured a L2TP/IPSEC PSK connection with Win XP Client. The connection is established and I get a IP from IPSEC Pool. 
Question 1: Can I assign a IP from LAN?
Question 2: How must I configure the paketfilter to access the LAN?  IPSECpool -> local Network -> any -> allow (current setting) - I am not able to connect any internal Server, but I can ping the internal IP of the ASL.

    Question 1: not recomended, this might cause IP conflicts and other issue, I can't see the benefit either
    Question 2: The packet filter seems correct, how do you try to access internal machines, by name or IP? If you test with ping make sure that in the ICMP settings of ASL ping forwarding is allowed. Also make sure that the client/server you try to access uses ASL as its default gateway.

    if u really want to have an "internal ip" 
    u can try to masq the pptp pool to the internal interface.

    if this works there is probably something wrong with the config of the server.
    maybe the gateway is wrong or the machine doesn't accept foreign ip's
