L2TP Ms Windows through NAT

I have set up a VPN between a Win XP client and a ASL 5 box.
It works well when the XP is connected directly with a DSL modem.
When using a DSL router and NAT I do not manage to connect again.
NAT transversal is enabled on ASL 5 box.
Is there any incompatibilities between L2TP over IPSEC and NAT?
Is there something to enable on the windows client?
help will be appreciated.

    there is a patch for Windows to enable NAT-T for L2TP, on microsoft.com search for "Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 818043"

    The patch was difficult to find because Microsoft suppressed for windows XP but it can be found with a manual query on Windows Update Catalog.
    It works fine through NAT now.
    Sorry for the cross post but I repost my message in the right forum after realising my mistake.
    I will avoid that in the future.
