error 734

hi 

I tri to configure pptp on astaro with a radius (IAS windows 2003) the client give mee error 734 and astaro log say:

does anyone have an idea?

I think com is good because if I tried a bad password pptp client say it ...

    Having the exact same problem -- only thing I can add is that  this happened after a upgrade from v4.022 to v5.015.

    hi,

    i had the same error, but these two settings work for me:

    1st Enable CHAP Auth in your IAS profile
    2nd disable "no encryption " on encryption  page in your IAS profile

    let me know if it works

    I have had a lot of troubble to get it work, but after I had read your solution it works.

    I know this is a really old post, but the 2003 setting read very differently than the manula, which was written for windows 2000 IAS and AD. All this info is in the user authentication section of the Astaro manual (section 5.17). Anyways, these are the group names you have to use i guess, and the conversion to windows 2003 IAS is mentioned above. The manual and the affore post do the same thing. It is all in the meaning, not the buttons. M$ went security conscious...remember, so they have reworded stuff in liue of fixing holes (j/k).

    The radius server is speaking to the astaro box unencrytpted, not the client (althouh the Astaro box is actually a IAS radius client to the 2003 server).

    I forgot, we spent a few hours screwing with an IAS server, then tried on a second server and it all worked perfectly. I don't know, but it works and I don't wanna screw with it.

    Radius requests from Astaro to IAS were timing out.
