Some Web sites not accessible via VPN

Hi all -

I've got a strange problem -

I'm using a VPN through a wireless connection through my (Astaro V4 firewall) to the Internet.  With one of my PCs (Win XP Home), I can see SOME web sites (yahoo.com) but others (cga.edu, and others) just HANG at 'Site found/waiting for response'.

I've actually engaged Microsoft Pro Support, and they're clueless so far (lots of time on the phone, and dumps from the Windoze box).  According to the dumps, it appears that the return packets from the web sites are getting dropped.  but, there are NO indications in the firewall logs that there's anything wrong; and ANOTHER system I have (running XP Pro) works just fine.

It's NOT an MTU issue, as we've tried setting MTU WAY low (500) on the Windoze box and the problem persists.

Has anyone seen ANYTHING like this?

    Have you verified that the problem is not caused by Microsoft Internet Explorer's security settings, by installing and running another web browser? I usually install either Netscape, Mozilla or Firefox on a Windows machine, and use one of them to browse the web instead of the Internet Explorer web browser that comes bundled with Windows.
