No Ping after closed L2TP/IPSEC Connection

Hi!

I got following problem:

I established a l2tp/ipsec connection with my windows roadwarrior. everthing works fine, but if i want to reconnect, i get no connection to the server, so theres no ping to it. 
i looked at open vpn connections over webinterface from another pc, and there is the connection to the roadwarrior still open. so it looks like the server dont kill connections after terminating them under windows.

does someone know this problem ?

    I have had the same problem:
    Connect to office ASL from my home via L2TP
    Do what I need to do on the office network
    Disconnect from L2TP
    Bam..can no longer access office webadmin from my home
    I access the webadmin from another location and it looks like it shows an active L2TP connection...it does not cleanly tear down the tunnel.

    I thought I was the only one having the problem too.
