Ok, I've been beating my head against the post here and I'm still not making any headway.
I'm having problems setting up the PPTP in ASL version 4
I'm not using a Radius server.
I've created a test account called "Test" with the password "Test" and I've enabled PPTP with these settings:
Logging: normal
Encryption: strong 128
Authentication: Local
Just to get it working I've currently set the default IP PPTP pool (10.165.135.0/24). I've supplied the correct DNS Settings and I've specified the rule in the packet filter. My internal network IP is 10.10.1.0/24. I know network wise, my setup is invalid, but I still should be able to connect. But I'm not.
I get the error "628 connection was terminated by Remote PC before connection could be complete" or I get the "port could not connect error".
I've monitored the PPTP live connection log and it the remote pc is making a link:

I've made various changes to the client side. Which by the way is just WinXP. But nothing seems to work. And to illimate th client side. I've made sure that the router on the client side was taken out of the picture by putting the client into the DMZ. But it still can't connect to the server.
Please help
Thanks in Advance
