connection break

I have a problem with a connection vpn that I have between the seat and the power station.
The seat is connected through tunnel to the power station to an application that works under telnet.
the connection works well if I send packages ICMP between the seat and the centers it through tunnel,
but if I don´t send packages ICMP, connection telnet between the seat and centers it is cut,
and if I return to send packages ICMP the connection work fine.
I know that when it does not pass information through the tunnel,
the connection by telnet break.I like resolve this problem. Is urgent. Thanks.

How much time passes before the telnet session is broken when you are not sending ICMP through the tunnel.?

Can you check the IPSEC VPN logs to see how often the VPN is renegotiating? It is possible that you may have some sort of configuration issue and the tunnel is being recreated every few minutes.

When you say it is OK, are you saying that it renegotiates successfully, or that it renegotiates when it is supposed to? It should only renegotiate when the IPSEC SA Lifetime is reached, which by default is usually 1 hour. If it is renegotiating faster than every 1 hour, then you likely have a configuration problem.

i changed the version of 5.11 to 4.017 without backup and now, the comunication work fine
