4.021 - 4.021 Net to Net IPSEC Freezes

The connection is established successfully and each network can communicate with the other, but after a short amount of time, the communication will cease even though the IPSEC VPN page still shows the connection as active and established.

I'm using 2048 RSA keys. One end is a static IP and the other is dynamic. The IPSEC policy is AES_PFS_COMP. Stopping and restarting the connection corrects the freeze, but it stops again after a few minutes.

Can anyone Help?

could be a fragmentation error. Try to use certs with 1024 bit of key lengths.

I set up a PSK connection in place of the RSA and so far so good. It has been up for a while without freezing.

I was told there is a bug with having multiple key types in use on 1 server, but that is not the case for me.

of course I have meant RSA key instead of certs, should have read it more carefully :-)

The problem with multiple key types appears only with dynamic endpoints. PSK is fine for sites with static IP addresses.
