ASL v5 Host to Host PPTP VPN to W2K PPTP VPN Srv

Hi,

Has anyone try ASL v5 Host to Host PPTP VPN to W2K PPTP VPN Srv.

LAN ASL v5(Branch ) Internet W2k PPTP server ( HQ ) LAN.

I can find any dialup PPTP on asl v5 . Is they anyway to make it work.
Note: Not using L2TP IPSEC. But only PPTP.

For host to host connections (permanent VPN tunnels), you ought to configure IPsec instead. PPTP VPNs are really just intended as temporary roadwarrior client to host connections.

Is what you are suggesting possible if the remote Win2k server is not within your control? If so, can you clarify how one would do this? Thanks.

To run IPsec, which is certificate based encryption, you will either have to import certificates from the ASL box into the Windows server, or import certificates from the Windows server into the ASL box. For more info on how to do this, read through Astaro's documentation:
