PPTP Pool Range

It wont allow me to edit the PPTP Pool IP Range definition, yet it is set at 10.184.196.0

I use the the 192 range for local machines. How am I supose to VPN into my lan and talk to my other machines if Im on a different range? Does it automatically bridge the two or something?

    My PPTP-Pool net is 10.244.243.0 This was defined for me automatically when ASL v4 was installed.

    It doesn't really matter much what subnet the PPTP service is using, since it will route traffic automatically to your Internal network.

    The only thing that does matter, is that the PPTP-Pool uses a subnet that is different, not only from the subnet you use on your Internal network, but also from the subnets in use at the remote location that you are tunneling in from.

    IP routing won't work if the network numbers on different network segments are the same. They must be different, in order for the routers to have something to work with.

    My advice: Leave your PPTP-Pool network number alone, don't worry about it, and just use it as-is. You'll be fine.  Enjoy!
