Problems to establish a NetBIOS connection

Hello all,
during a VPN connection from a client it's not possible to connect to the shares of the LAN at the other side. I already created a packetfilter who allows all for the specific clients. With all other TCP services (POP, SMTP,... ) I don't have this problem and can establish a connection successfull.

guess you wanna browse the network, sorry but that's a no go since broadcasts aare not routed by Astaro. But you could setup WINS or DNS (llocal lmhost does the trick too but isn't so comfortable to maintain) to connect Windows ressources by name.

Hello cyclops,

thx for ur answer. I already set a DNS and WINS. Name resullution works well. The problem is that I can't connect to a share!

Did you open netbios port group+445 from the PPTP pool to the LAN?
