Alternative for SSH Sentinel?

Hi,

can anyone recomend me a VPN Client?

SSH Sentinel is not working with XP somehow. It messes my Windows XP up. Once I install SSH Sentinel, I cant access my Active Directory anymore.

You can try SafeNet's SoftRemote VPN client which has more or less the same features as SSH Sentinel.

BTW - the SSH Sentinel product line was bought last week by SafeNet for 14 million USD. See

which version of sentinel are you using. you may chech the website of www.ssh.com and download the update of ssh sentinel. ssh sentinel 1.4.0 also messed up my system but after updating the problem was solved.

I've been looking at how to purchase SSH Sentinel without any luck.  ssh.com don't seem to sell direct and you have to go through a reseller and the purchase process is not clear at all !

Does anyone know of a win32 alternative that's fairly cheap ?  I had a look at safenet's product and it's almost 3x the price of SSH Sentinel, with no eval product either !

Sourceforge shows a few under development but nothing really available yet.  Greenet's product BSOD's my Windows 2003 box.

Appears you can still download SSH Sentinel from SSH but it requires a license key, which I can't find where to buy from !

I've managed to get SSH Sentinel connected. (I had an older version and the newer version installs OK over the top).

I found a reseller for SSH Sentinel in Australia and they want $324.50 per license !! ($AUS)

Thats $228US or 195 Euros !!

I can buy OEM Office 2003 Basic for that much !

ZyXel sell a rebadged SSH Sentinel for about $50-$60 a license that appears to be identical to SSH's product.
They also seem to have good volume discounts. Anyone tried their rebadged SSH Sentinel ? Is it the same thing or has it been hacked to only work with ZyXel's equipment ?
