please be kind and patient as i have NEVER worked with a vpn before. i have been trying on 2 different kinds of vpn routers (linksys BEFVP41 and astaro v4) for the last week and keep coming up empty. on my office side all workstations (4) are running 98se and at home i am running 2000. i set up my ipsec policy according to microsoft support site and linksys support site with no luck. mind you, i've tried both linksys and astaro. i cannot connect. do i need a vpn router on both sides? can a 98 machine talk to a 2000? i'm not sure if that's my problem or not. is there anyone in the ft. lauderdale area that can help me (you can really be anywhere if you can help)? i'll pay anyone who can help me!!! i need to have this done a.s.a.p. i created an email address for anyone who is interested. it's vpn_help@yahoo.com or you can reply to me on this message board.
