UNIX Radius server for PPTP

Hi,

the Astaro manual explains in detail how to get ASL to work with a Microsoft Radius server. Has anyone ever managed (or even tried) to make it work with a radius server running on unix (or linux)? Especially with freeradius?

    All I can tell you is that I tried to use FreeRADIUS for 802.1x wireless authentication and it did not go well.  I have read this  book.  I spent many hours trying to get this to work.  I ended up install win2k pro on the computer and had it working in an hour.

    hopefully someone will have had better luck than I did and will be able to help you.

    not really but if you start radiusd it accepts remote auth requests and works without further configuration against its local user database. The only thing which needs to be configured for this basic authentication is the radius secret as well as the IP of the firewall from where  requests will come from.
