PPTP Patch and SSH Question....

HI anyone..

I up2dated my ASL box to 4.015.  Never applied the PPTP patch because I still can't figure how to gain ssh access remotely to do so.

Is this a problem?  Does the patch still need to be applied or do the up2date service apply this patch automatically?

SSH access is enabled in Webadmin, but I cannot gain access even using an allowed connection.

Any ideas?

    can you telnet to port 22 on your the ASL box once you enable it?

    search google for 'winscp download'. Winscp is a freely availablke secure copy client which can be used in conjunction with Astaro. It comes with a Norton Commander like interface. To connect to Astaro you have to login remotely as user loginuser  since it is forbidden to connect as root directly. You have the choice to copy to /tmp or /home/login. Afterwards you have to login as user root and to follow the instructions given in the howto or the posting in the UBB.
