PPTP problem

I'm unable to estabilish a connection through PPTP after installing fix 4.008 (I'm at 4.012 now). I've seen the previous posts about this, but have not yet heard when the fix will be available. I'm connecting from Windows XP machines with SP1.

By the way this is ubelievable. I've had this problem since fix 4.008 ( back in what april, may?). Now I'm at fix 4.012 and still no solution.

    Can you connect with a W2K-Client?
    There is a patch available here. Another problem could be a second PPTP-Server which is in between the PPTP-Server and the connecting client.

    I only have Windows XP machines with SP1 applied to them, so i have no way of testing with win2k. As for another pptp server, I'm sure we don't have one here. ASL is our only point of connection between our LAN and the Internet. I also redirect SSH traffic destined for my web server to another server and that also seems to have problems. Could these be related? As for the patch, i'd really rether not hack the ASL to ensure future compatibility with the hotfixes. If it is a known problem and you have the fix for it, why can't you include it in the next patch?
