I want to publish my internal MS PPTP-Server. The Server is located in my DMZ (DMZ with non-public IP´s). But this is not the point, I just wanted to mention. I have the same problem if I locate the PPTP Server inside my protected network.
I created nat rules passing pptp AND gre to the internal
pptp server.
I also added packet filter rules allowing pptp and gre from any to my internal pptp server AND vice versa (dont know if the vice versa thing is really necessary, but I did this also...)
Finally, when I try to reach my pptp Server from outside it says it verifies my password (SO it can reach the pptp server), but then times out with no answer.
Packet Filter Logs don´t show anything, so the rules are OK.
My stupid little Zyxel Zywall at home does this task without
problems (same nat rules, same packet filters)
Any ideas what I could try else? (Version : ASL4.006)
