VPN newbie - Do astaro work with Cisco?

I am trying to setup a vpn connection from the outside to my private lan thru astaro 3.217.  I am running windows 2000 environment in my internal lan.  I got couple of quick question

1.  Is Astaro compatible with Cisco VPN client?
2.  Do I need a pptp or some type of VPN server in my private LAN in order to setup a VPN

The PPTP VPN client that is included with Win2k is completely compatible with ASL. I use it all the time. You won't need any additional hardware for PPTP.
I'm not sure about the IPSec Cisco.

Do you have to set up a Windows PPTP VPN server on your internal network in our for its to work? Can you tell me a piece more details?

Astaro has a built in PPTP server, so you don't need to setup a seperate one.
Go to Network-> PPTP Road Warrior Access.
