The specified network name is no longer available

I try to setup VPN with a roadwarrior configuration. From my point of view the setup is correct because I can ping the computers in the internal LAN, I can also setup a terminal server session onto a server on the internal LAN. 

The problem I have: If I try to download a file from a computer on the internal LAN I see that the transfer is starting. But after a while I get "the specified network name is no longer available" and the transfer will be interrupted. 

I can't find an more hints in my event log. Does anyone know anything about such a problem?

Configuration
Firewall 4.002, connected to the internet with DSL
VPN Client: Windows XP Professional, Connection established with Marcus Muellers VPN Toolkit.

    this could be related to the mtu (maximum transfer unit) You could try to decrease
    it to lets say 1400 on the client side, try to transfer files and give me feedback.
    By they way what is the mtu at the dsl interface (ppp0)? I am asking because normally
    it is automatically set to 1492 bytes but I saw that some provider override that value
    to 1500 which causes trouble.

    Could you please point us to Marcus Mueller's VPN toolkit, can't find it via Google, thanks.
