net-to-net (static - dynamic)

hi there,

still got some problems running a net to net vpn.

main network got static ip addresses running astaro 3.212

remote network got dynamic ip addresses (german t-dsl) also 3.212

tried to setup host to host as described in the docs but finally i got no ip address on the remote side just a hostname using dyndns.org.

any help for me and my burned out brain? think solution is near but i really don´t get the point...

PS: is it realy possible to use the dyndns.org name with asl ? this would solve some big problems !!!

using the dyndns client on the firewall is easy. there´s a thread down somewhere here...

Hello Alltogether,

name resolution isn't nescessary to establish a
VPN a connection with a dynamic tunnelendpoint.

You can follow the instruction described in

Hi together,

following the howto, I got one side into an active vpn-connection, just the one with the acception of the dyn.IP-address is not working.

Is there any information out, what the error messages in the vpn-stat mean and how to solve them?
