I guess, this is a FAQ, but I didn't find it, so just a link would help. I have to say first, that I got more Linux experience than Windows experience.
I have two nets: at home Astaro as a firewall, at work (still, will change) Smoothwall. At home I got several Linux machines + 1 W2K Notebook, at work one old NT4 Server.
a) VPN is working
I can access all linux servers. I do not block anything between the two subnets. (192.168.0.0 192.168.1.0)
b) Windows Browsing is (of course) not working
The windows computer does not see each user (the linux computer shows at least some with findsmb ). I am pretty sure, that is has something to do with the browsing. Netbios over TCP/IP is enabled, Netbios is still on.
Any hints or better docs which covers this particular problem ?
