Hello everyone,
We have several remote offices connected via VPN to our main HQ, using Astaro firewalls on both ends of the tunnel. I need to have a backup sollution when the VPN goes down.
Each remote office has an Astaro fw as the default gateway for all the hosts. Also, there is a ISDN router in another network in that remote office, connected also to the Astaro o another ethernet interface. The ISDN router connects to our HQ.
My question is this: how can I set up the Astaro to route all packets to this router when the VPN goes down, and NOT to the ipsec0 interface (thus the VPN tunnel) ? If we connect via ISDN directly into HQ network, we dont need VPN, so just routing to the ISDN router will be fine.
It does not seem to work if I just make another route on the Astaro for the HQ net to the ISDN router, with a higher metric. The Astaro will always see the ipsec0 interface up (even if the VPN is down) and will never choose the alternate route ro the ISDN router.
Any suggestion is appreciated.Thanks.
