Windows Networks through PPtP

I just installed ASL on my home network.  Version is 3.210.  Now I'm experimenting with VPN (a new field of study for me).  

I've connected a remote Windows 2000 machine via PPTP, and I'm able to move IP traffic, ie. browse the web, ping hosts on my network, etc.  

What I'm still not able to do is make workgroup resources available through the tunnel.  I'd like to be able to see and use workgroup resources from the remote machine.  Can you tell me what I'm missing?

    What you are basically doing when you see wourkgroup rescorces from within your local network is sending a broadcast asking for other computers to respond with the resources they have shared. unfortunatley since you are coming from a remote location your broadcasts do not get through as ASL does not pass broadcasts. you can however map network drives using IP address\share name
