I have setup the Astaro box to allow PPTP with extensive logging and 128 bit encryption. I am using the MS Win2K PPTP client with advanced security set to MSCHAP and MSCHAPv2. When I connect to the network it verifies username/password but then I get 628 error.
The only thing I have changed on this box is to restrict outbound access. Prior to changing this I had:
Internal - All - Allow
and changed it to:
Internal - Allowed Outbound (usual - http, https, dns, nslookup, smtp, pop, msnmessenger, ping, tracert, pptp, and others) - Allow
I changed this as I did not want any services going out that I may not be aware of (trojans, etc.)
Is there something I am missing? Please advise as this was working perfectly until I limited outbound traffic.
