need more information about X509 vpn setup

Hi,
   We are trying to set vpn ipsec(that will be used with ssh sentinel client)on astaro linux 3.208(full patched)and the documentation about  X509 host-> net connection(dynamic vs static) is quite confusing.
We have tried to set the dynamic config but when we try to connect with sentinel client the connection is successfull(sometimes) but we don't seems to get an ip address and it doesnt work.

    Two thing to remeber:

    1)If your remote computer is behind a NAT device IPSec will not work. You will have to use PPTP

    2)IPSec is a totally different protocol than IP and does not use IP addressing in order to work. You can think of it as like using Netbui or IPX

    I was the one who wrote the document you speak of and people have written that it has been quite helpful. Try to explain what is confusing and I will try to answer your question with a bit more detail.
