ASL 3.2 to Smoothwall VPN

Anyone tried succefully to connect an ASL 3.2 box to a smoothwall box using IPSec VPN?
I've setup a PSK IPSec on our ASL box using 3DES but I can get the smoothwall to connect to it across the internet. Can't see anything at all in logs...
Any clues?

I've tried this too without any luck.
I think a key exchange is called for but I am not a VPN expert. Interested in hearing if you solve this.
