PPTP and IP Address

When I connect to my PPTP I USUALLY get 192.168.1.2. But some times I get 192.168.1.3 which happens to be my default router. This makes it so I cannot ping my network. When I specify an IP address I get an error saying that my connect is not allowed. (I have to pull from the pool). How I set my pool to start at like 192.168.1.30?

    Unfortunatley you cannot set the pool...this is a common problem which is why I always suggest you use the assigned PPTP pool rather than a pool from the internal network...therefore you will never get a conflict...

    Why do you use your internal network as PPTP-Pool ?

    Just try another new network as PPTP-Pool and define some FW-rules to access your internal network.

    Using this way the access via PPTP can be limited by your FW-ruleset - otherwise you will have full acccess (also possible via a rule any - any - internal network - allow)
