NET to NET Issues

PLEASE HELP!!

I have setup a net to net vpn. On one side of the connection I have a win 2k server with the shared network drives. And on the other side I have 1 win me machine. The win Me machine has the network drive mapped as F:\

Now since i have setup this connection i have multiple occasions where 2x clicking on the F;\ drive would not bring up the shared folders...HOWEVER at the same time the net to net connection is shown as being up in ASL. To make things even worse...and this is insane...once i was able to ping the remote server while at the same time clicking on the f:\ drive wouldnt work....go figure that one out!!

Anyway most of the time I have the win me user on the remote network restart her computer and it seems to fix things. When that doesnt work i have been remotely stopping and starting the vpn link and then having her restart her computer....

Has anyone had any similar experiences?

Do you guys/gals think this might be an issue with the ASL? The Win ME machine or the IPSEC settings (these are at their default and were never changed) 

Any imput would be greatly appreciated

    okay can someone...anyone please even postulate a resaon why this might be happening..today was the second day in a row where I had to restart the vpn on both sides before the remote user could see the shared network drives across the vpn...even though both ASL boxes showed the vpn link between the two networks as being connected?

    One more thing...I dont know if this makes a difference but I only have one static ip...the other side is set to accept connections from 'any'...and it uses a FQDN which i have setup using a dydns service which is updated every five minutes?? Any ideas...I am really stummped here and I need this to work without user intervention on a daily basis

    you may try using the following setup, which works for me:

    company: asl w/ static ip, vpnID x509/ipaddr accepting dynamic connections

    home: asl w/ dynamic ip, vpnID x509/email

    vpn connection looks like this:
    10.0.0.0/24===212.212.212.212---212.212.212.211...%any[myemail]===10.0.1.0/24

    addon:
    when your problem occurs and you can ping, the tunnel seems to be up. check packetfilter logs!
