Big PPTP Problem

hi all,

we have setup asl with eth0 for internal lan (10.0.0.254) and eth1 (1.1.1.254) for external lan.
problem is that we can´t change PPTP IP Pool Network. it´s only possible to switch between eth1_network_ and PPTP_Pool. under definitons network it´s not possible to delete PPTP_Pool. if i try to create an additional one with our internal ips i can`t choose it for the PPTP road warriors.
can somebody help me what to do that win clients from the outside can "dial" into the asl box and use it as default gateway to surf the lan and web?

What's wrong with the PPTP Pool? It's a random chosen range, that's ok for PPTP. Simply use it!

Hi,

the PPTP-Pool IP range is from 10.86.203.0 to 10.86.203.254.
Our internal lan on eth0 is 10.0.0.0/8.
If a win2k clients connects via PPTP it gets IP 10.86.203.2
and 10.86.203.2 but i can`t ping neither the asl router nor anything
else.

any idea what`s going wrong?

Create a definition e.g. 192.168.0.0/24 with the name e.g. My_PPTP_Pool and assign this as the used address range.

You can edit the PPTP-Pool if you first go into PPTP-Roadwarrior Configuration and set the IP address pool to *something other than PPTP-Pool*. Then go to "Networks" and change the PPTP-Pool to whatever you want, and go back to Roadwarrior access and re-select PPTP-Pool for the assigned addresses. :-)
