Solid PPTP VPN becomes weak.... (2.027)

Hey, I have been using Astaro for over a year now and everything has been excellent (more or less), however on Friday all of the sudden VPN PPTP would not accept any more connections and I get a:

Jul 29 08:47:32 erfw pppd[16911]:Terminating on signal 15

in the log. After I reboot the VPN comes back up but will always drop out again after an unspecified time (less than 1 hour to one day).

If I try and log in (via Win2k) I get either a "Loopback detected" error or a generic "disconnected" error.
Keep in mind that I have changed NOTHING in my infrastructure and this exact configuration has been going strong for quite awhile.
I'm running out of things to try here...

Any ideas?

...Just an update. Now, even when I reboot the box I cannot get in. I get the "Loopback detected" error and nothing shows up in the log except for:

Jul 29 10:30:40 erfw pppd[1815][:P]ppd 2.4.0 started by (unknown), uid 0
Jul 29 10:30:40 erfw pppd[1815]:using channel 1
Jul 29 10:30:40 erfw pppd[1815]:Using interface ppp0

Which is normal.
I'm still hosed (and pretty desperate).

I ended up blowing it away and going to 3.202...
Works fine now(as far as I can tell).
