I've got NET 2 Net working.  I even have one end in my home behind a Dlink router which is performing NAT.  I left a blow by blow description in http://www.astaro.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=7;t=000348

If you don't have the added problem of a NAT router, you don't have to worry about going from IP addresses to Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDN) and you can supply the side without the NAT router the correct IP address.  It should be a tad more secure that way.
