Using Frees/Wan from LInux to Connect to Astaro VPN

Hi

I'm using the astaro firewall with great success both vpn and firewall works great with Windows 2000 machines.

On the other hand, I'm having a hard time understanding how to connect from an linux workstation. I have installed Frees/Wan and setup the components correctly (I think). The configuration of frees/wan makes me dizzy! Does someone have an quick guide to configure an linux workstation to work with the astaro firewall?

I also wonder why I have to insert the ras-sig key into the configuration of the other side of the vpn-connection, when I dont have to this on an Windows 2000 machine. What is the difference, and why how can I avoid doing this on the linux workstation. I understand that I have to put my own rsa key in the configuration file though.
