PPTP encryption failed with WIN98 very importante

i have sniff win98 client with pptp connection in asl . i saw only compression ccp is established with win98 client but with win2K client pptp conection are encrypted .
i have test the same thing with an win98 client connected to win2K server and there is fine 
compression and encryption from win98 client to win2K server.
there is a bug i mean cause is not the win98 client are bugged cause it works very fine with win2K server.
anyone have the same problem please need help to resolv this problem.
in previous beta have the same problem.
if anyone want log tell me.

    Did you update your win98 client to support MSCHAPv2?

    Compression is not supported in pptp?

    What does your win98 setting look like?

    MSCHAPV2 is working client is update there is no the problem. sorry for english i'm french .
    i think this is an issue problem with pptp from WIN98.thx for resolving this problem if you need more information contact me 

    yes client pptp in win98 is update is working with asl but not encryption and when i make a pptp connction with the same client in win2K server the encryption is done very good.
    is a problem with asl not with 98 i have made all the possible test
    pptp encrytpion from win98 client to WIn2K server
    work.(mppe is working)

    PPTP encryption doesn't work with asl from WIN98 client but vpn is established with ccp compression
    (MPPE not working)


    PPTP connexion from win2K client to asl work very good mppe and ccp .
    is a problem from win98 client to ASL

    does anyone have the same problem

    can you give the rules to make encryption from 98 to asl.
    or can you fix the problem.
    the client 98 is update.

    I have exactly the same problem, but then on ASL 2.025. MPPE connections cannot for some reason be made, so that the client (win 98 with all updates, DUN 1.4, vpn update) gets the following error when connecting:

    742 - The remote server does not support encryption.

    In the ASL-VPN log I see the people coming in and being authenticated by msChap V2, but then it goes wrong with the establishing of MPPE (both 40 en 128 bit)

    Could someone please give a hint, because I have searched and tried all possible solutions on both the MS site and this site, but I can't get it working.
