ASL 2.0 to CheckPoint VPN - NO 3DES?

Hi,

i´m testing ASL 2.0 and try to set up a VPN tunnel between me and a CheckPoint 1 in USA. The CheckPoint does´t supports 3DES - only 56Bit Encyption...

Any idea how to setup the ASL to lower encryption?

Hi Michael,

I don't know if that is possible because ASL uses FreeS/WAN, and FreeS/WAN doesn't support anything less secure than 3DES. Maybe you find a patch on their site? Or maybe your partners in America should upgrade to 3DES?

it won't work with 56bit DES. They need to
buy the high encryption option, definetely!

Most checkpoint FW1 licenses come with 3des. do they have it configured?
