MacOS VPN problem (ASL2.0.22)

When setting up a VPN connection to our Astaro machine with PGP7.1 under MacOS 9.1 the connection will be established without any problems.

However, when trying to ping a machine on the internal network absolutely nothing happens (not even an error message)

Configurations of PGP on the MacOS machine are the same as on a Win2k machine (which does work without problems).     

Anybody out there with simular problems or perhaps a solution?

MacOS 9.1, PGP 7.1, ASL 2.0.22

    Hi there, 

    did you add any packetfilter rules allowing ping?

    What dies the packet filer live log tell you?

    It's not so much the ping that worries me.....it just one of the things that doesn't work.
    There is absolutely no activity to and from the Mac machine.

    For instance....on the Windows machine with excactly the same setting I'm able to browse our intranet with Explorer.

    Explorer and Mozilla on the Mac just sort of freeze...no error message no nothing.
    So the pinging part is just part of the same problem.

    But thanx anyway.
