Is any one else having problems with getting a tunnel stay up between thses 2 type of systems. I get the tunnel established then it goes down after about 1 hour.
We have the same problem. The log files will tell you, that the checkpoint side sent a informational message "Delete SA". The FreeSWAN team decided not to implement informational messages. Hint from FreSWAN newsgroups is to change the IPSEC timeouts on the astaro firewall to a smaller value and to restart the vpn manually, or increasing the IPSEC timeout on the checkpoint side. But our connection remained unstable.

Sorry that I still reply to this post (so old). But I experience the same problem to. Timeout on the checkpoint is 86400 and on the Astaro as well (it is the max). I don't know if it is the DELETE SA signal from the checkpoint, but the link is indeed down after probably a day (86400s). A manual restart is neccessary and that is bothering me like hell.
