PPTP failing with V2.016

I have set up PPTP, which works for a while, but then stops working completly and you are unable to log in again.
I am using windows 2K which reports back this error: 
Error 619, The specified Port is not connected.

This is what appears in the Astaro PPTP log.

Does anyone have any ideas?
(I am not using any special characters in my passwords, and have tried deleting and reinserting usernames and passwords)

    Maybe you should read them too,

    I have read the other topics relating to PPTP before posting this topic and have found none that resolved my problem.
    The only suggestions I have found were making sure the password did not have any special characters, making sure the win2k was using the same encryption strength, making sure to use the latest version of Astaro (2.016), all of which I have done.

    had the same problem. i have remove users and disable pptp, re active add users and problem desapear

    I also have done these things but have no luck making the connection.
    I get an Error 619 from W2K when I try to log in and the following is in the PPTP livelog.

    I had the same probl. with the same err. in 
    win 2k,
    ASL team is an issue of my OS or is of ASL 2.016?
    I'm waiting an answer from you,please.

    I had tried this before, but maybe not in the right order!
    I removed Users, disabled PPTP.
    Enabled PPTP, and added users back in. 
    Now it is working.
    When I added the users back in before enabling PPTP it did not help.
    Lets hope it stays working!

    The same problem,

    It worked for a while and now no longer works.
    Even if I remove PPTP, remove uses and add everything back in again.
    It seems to me that this is a very serious bug.
    Does any one have any solutions?

    Hi astaros
    just to add pressure for updated software or better docs - I see Error 619 and don´t have any plan where to fumble.

    the error could be the password-bug (no special
    characters in the password) in V2.016..

    The passwords we are using do not contain any special characters. The PPTP works for a short time (an hour), before it stops working altogether.
