Problems mapping drives w/ PPTP

Hi,

I've set up a windows 2000 server to use pptp.  Everything works fine except when I try to map drives.  If I map a drive by using it's ip (e.g. net use x: \128.1.10.55\temp) it works fine.  But when I map it by it's netbios name (e.g. net use x: \win98\temp) i get an error saying the network path was not found.  I can succesfully ping win98 by it's name as well. I've also opened up the firewall to allow all traffic from any host through. Any help would be most appreciated.

Also, is it possible to have ASL using IPSec assign a VPN client (ssh sentinal in this case) a virtual IP similar to the way it works with the PPTP Roadrunner?

thanks,
sanisan
