Checkpoint to Astaro VPN

Guys, 
I think people have depended too much on freeswan as the backend for VPN, that thing does not support the 2nd phase of the VPN connection with checkpoint,because in the second phase checkpoint supports only DES 
now what to do?
if i'm not wrong the VPN module depends on freeS/wan right?

any easier work arounds leaving the upgrade of the checkpoint firewall

    Hi ravikiran,

    it is not an Astaro intention to be compatible
    with weak encryption products :-)

    I fear you have to get an F1 update (to use strong
    encryption) or for us a better idea use two ASLs :-))

    But...DES isn't that weak...
    only an encryption guru was able to brake it... in 24 hours... fine...it cannot be done by anybody say like me  [:)] 

    But there should be some sort of backward compatibility... also
    its always better
    coz this is a wide wide world
    and people who dont want DES wont use it
    thats it
    i do know that FreeS/WAN does not support DES in their latest version but there are lot of patches available which we can use.

    Which u people should think of using... coz... astaro i want it to compete with products like checkpoint
    its really provided some more improvements are there.

    Hope u can do something about this  [:)]
