AUA not working for PPTP

I'm trying to setup a w2k laptop for PPTP. I get the following error:

No CHAP secret found for authenticating testuser on pptp, trying aua with MS-CHAP.

AUAconnect - Returned Buffer 44 45 4e 49 45 44 0a 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

aua denied access

I tried to setup radius authentication, but didn't realize that radius doesn't work for pptp (Why? I don't know).

Astaro User Auth isn't working correct. If I add a user to /var/chroot-pptp/etc/ppp/chap-secrets, it works.

When is this going to be fixed? Or is there a way around this?

you need to make sure your w2k pc does not have the domain name set. For some reasons windows send the domain name along with the username when it tries to authenticate with the ASL PPTP..

Ya, that's not it. I'm not sending the domain name. I don't think the localusers.ini file for AUA doesn't have a CHAP entry in it.

Any Astaro Admins wish to explain this?
