IPSec VPN -- road worrier(freeswan 1.91)

I downloaded astaro firewall and I'm still evaluating the product.

In general I'm very pleased but I can't establish a VPN connection with an freeswan
gateway.

my local freeswan claims:

104 "innovate-home" #1: STATE_MAIN_I1: initiate
106 "innovate-home" #1: STATE_MAIN_I2: from STATE_MAIN_I1; sent MI2, expecting MR2
108 "innovate-home" #1: STATE_MAIN_I3: from STATE_MAIN_I2; sent MI3, expecting MR3
003 "innovate-home" #1: discarding duplicate packet; already STATE_MAIN_I3
010 "innovate-home" #1: STATE_MAIN_I3: retransmission; will wait 20s for response
003 "innovate-home" #1: discarding duplicate packet; already STATE_MAIN_I3
010 "innovate-home" #1: STATE_MAIN_I3: retransmission; will wait 40s for response
031 "innovate-home" #1: max number of retransmissions (2) reached STATE_MAIN_I3. Possible authentication failure: no acceptable response to our first encrypted message
