Windows NT VPN server behind firewall ?

Is it possible to use a Windows NT server to provide PPTP access to mobile clients rather than using ASL's built in PPTP client ?

If so how would I go about setting this up
from a Firewall rules point of view ? Would I disable the ASL PPTP server and create a rule to allow PPTP traffic access to the PPTP server behind the firewall, having first assigned an alias for the PPTP server on the external interface ?

TIA

  • running PPTP over astaro firewall with MASQ should work if they included the pptp-masq module. should be standart with the kernel 2.4.x.
    if not
    control channel is TCP:1723
and traffic goes through IP-PORT:47 (GRE)

    hope it helped
