Firewall Died - Need to uninstall management

My firewall box died and I still have the Sophos management installed on 2 of my home PC's (using the free version).  

I have tried to uninstall it now that I won't be able to get upgrades to the agents.

How can I turn off the tamper proof without the firewall being in place?
