Exchange Access Denied

I have exchange 2007 and Sophos Endpoint 10.3 installed along with Pure message. Sophos updated last night and we are experiencing all kind of problems. One of the staff members couldn't get the exchange console to open and rebooted the computer then that's when exchange 2007 died on us. We kept getting access denied on starting the exchange services. We had to stop the Sophos Anti-Virus service in order to get the exchange services to start. Currently we have to keep it off or we will get access is denied. We are local administrators as well as Sophos Administrators. Tried removing the sophos admin group and just have local admin group but no luck. 

In addition to the access denied. We are also seeing a major slow down on the connected workstations and UAC is coming back on after we have disabled it.

    your problem is a software problem with puremessage or with windows updates installed...
