Hello @ all
I have a question concerning the Sophos Virtualization Scan Controller.
We have an Environment with about 150 virtual servers which are protected with Sophos Endpoint Security. From the Sophos Enterprise Console we deploy different policies to the virtual machines.
From the server on which we have the Enterprise Consoie installed we use the Virtualization Scan Controller to schedule scans at night.
The problem we have been running into for some time now is that these scans take a very long time. We don't start all the scans at the same time and now we run into the problem that some scans do not even start because the latest starting time is already reached before every server had a turn.
Now I wonder how that could happen and how to resolve this issue.
I do not believe that each and every server is packed with so much information to take so many hours to finish scanning.
Also it would seem that the config option "MaxScanTime" does not cancel/abort running scans on the target machines as the name and documentation imply.
The SavScanController.log files sometimes record messages which make it look that a scan is still runníng from the last evening and clog the System...
Is there anyway to find out if old scans are still running and if yes how do we cancel these? Does anyone have a suggestion how to resolve this issue?
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thank you and bye for now
