I've downloaded the trial version sav-linux-9-i386.tgz of sophos-av and installed it on a Ubuntu 11.10 x86_64 Server with kernel version 3.0.0-32-server. All is okay, even if i update manually the databases using the command /opt/sophos-av/bin/savupdate.
But afterwards, sophos-av seems to auto-update the databases. When launching savscan I get the Error "Unable to locate SavForLinux installation directory.". I checked out the following treat: After an upgrade to SAV for Unix/Linux 9.3.1, Savscan produces 'Error: Unable to locate SavForLinux installation directory.' but unfortunately this does not help me: All the proposed files are present and the group and bit rights are setted. Can anyone help me? I would like to buy the av, but if this problem is unresolvable I hesitate...
