apparently i cant get EP get to work - any ideas ?

    Hi Michael,

    I found the message in the log as I tried to setup Sophos live connect set webfiltering rules to the SEC. SEC never responded as wanted.

    For example I blocked Gambling on UTM - but SEC didnt repond on that - just the UTM.

    It sounds like there are two separate issues.

    have you tried under Computer Management, Manage Groups, selecting "Use Proxy for AutoUpdate" ?

    No - I have not tried the "Use proxy...!", do you want me to fill in the Ip of the UTM and a username+password here?

    I would fill in the hostname of the UTM, and if your UTM requires AD SSO authentication to go through, try adding a valid username and password as well.

    I had setup a test system for sophos endpoint and my UTM is running 9.206-35 and in the log file for endpoint management on the UTM I am seeing timeouts for updates.

    I have also added the UTM as proxy as @Michael_Dunn has suggested.

    Any ideas?

    Next step would involve actually looking at your network setup, connectivity, etc.  Not something appropriate for a forum, but something that Support should be used to doing.

    Michael, Since I am under a home license that will probably be a little difficult  [:)]

    I can tell that after installing 9.206-35 at the "problematic" customer, it started working, and I did not use the proxy feature [:S]

    Firmware version: 9.310-11

    Even after rebooting, this is still an issue, and I have the Sophos exceptions in place in Web Protection from installation.  I had to toggle off and then toggle back on the Web Filtering exception to get this re-enabled for whatever reason.  I would have thought rebooting this thing several times would have produced the same result.  I was wrong on that.
