Endpoint protection for Mac/OS X

I dont think it will be available. With the Sophos client as managed by the UTM (as with the Sophos Cloud client) they removed the old Message Relay service and replaced with the Sophos Management service. This system as with the Message Relay system is responsible for the messaging back and forth a endpoint does with the control server. They have not ported this system to the Mac OSX client yet.

You can still obviously use the Free Sophos Mac OSX client but it wont be "managed".

The Full Sophos Enterprise Console still uses the Message Relay system so you can have managed OSX clients using that. Not with the UTM or Cloud presently.

I am interested in seeing if their will ever be an endpoint client for OSX that can be managed by the Sophos UTM.

FYI... we purchased the Endpoint Security and Data Protection Console Management, just so we could have MAC protection. 

We have successfully installed the Mac OS client. But now find out from Sophos support that the following policies are not supported on Mac OS X:

Firewall
NAC
Application Control
Data Control
Device Control (will come with v9.1)
Full Disk Encryption
Tamper Protection (will come with v9.1)
Patch
Web Control

Is this still the case, that the OSX endpoint client can't be managed through the UTM?
