I get no EMAIL NOTIFICATION !?

Hello together

ive tried to configure the email notification on client site. I have configured the Email-Setting with the documentation from sophos. 
anyway i get no notification.

I also read that the endpoint security should send an "test" -email if he try to reach the SMTP Server. But this don't work

I hope to find here any help

  • Not sure what you are talking about... UTM Endpoint does not support any sort of email notifications from the Endpoint -- you are in the Endpoint Forum.

    If you are asking about email notifications in regards to the UTM itself, let me know, and I will move this topic to the correct forum.

    If you are asking about the "classic" or standalone Sophos Endpoint software, then this is not the bulletin board to ask this on... I would recommend starting a support case with Sophos, or you can try the SophosTalk forums at SophosTalk community - SophosTalk community

  • D_pole86 - two things.

    1. SMTP notification configuration will be added to UTM v9.2, coming later this year.  As such, you'll be able to configure SMTP alerts from the UTM Endpoint management area.

    2. if you're using the facility on the what's available in the client now, you will need to ensure that the SMTP server of which you've defined for the client to use can infact relay a message.  As such, check the SMTP server and ensure it will honour connections from your client IP addresses.
