Hi Guy's,
I need your advice for setting up our RED 50 at the office.
Currently we have at the office own DC and file servers and we have also many other servers at a datacenter. We also have 2 sg310 in HA mode at the datacenter. We have a good interent connection at the office and at the data center.
The CEO of the company wants to reomve all of the servers (DCs File servers etc) at the office and use only the resource at the datacenter.
We are thinkg to use a RED 50 bewteen the office and the datacenter. and add the work stations at the office to the domain in the datacenter.
this is our current setup at the office
We want that our users only use the RED to access resources that they need in the datacenter and when accessing the internet using the office connection.
I though we should configure the RED in Standard/Split Mode.
we have also IP phons at the office that currently like other devices at the office get their IP from our dhcp server. So after removing all of the servers at the office we still need some kind of dhcp server for the IP phones and I think the office router can do that.
Question,
Can we put the RED behind our own Router? my understanding is when the RED is configured in Standard/Split Mode the UTM at the datacenter will automatically create a dhcp pool and I think the clients at the office will get a an IP from the UTM. I think then telefoons will also get IP from the UTM.
Can someone please explaine to me where should we put the RED so the PCs at the office can access the resources like DC/file servers etc at the datacenter and IP phones use the office internet connection.
Thanks
